Multiple tasking coming this fall on iPad but even without it you can do lot of work on it. It has complete iWork that means you can create spreadsheet,word doc and PowerPoint presentation right on device and I must say interface is impressive and I create word doc for my work everyday. You can play radio at the background. App "radio" works fine at the background.typing is charm on it .Reading magazines and comics are incredible. It has many other capabilities than an ereader doesn't have. If you need a break from reading or work , you can play a game. Gaming on iPad is better than any device on the planet except X-Box and PS 3. You can download YouTube and other video for offline viewing. You can download PDF files right on device.
